Man is it hot

We don't need to tell you how hot it is out there...it's a real challenge to keep the place green, although with photo-shop any brown grass can be greened up!  Jack is a real genius at that and can make anything look it's best.  This weekend we are headed to the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce Expo and will have a booth to show everyone what we can do.  So, come on out to the Cedar Park High School and check it out...they have air conditioning there and lot's of fun.

First Place Photo!

Last night Jack and I won first place at the monthly Professional Photographers meeting in Austin, TX.  It is our second win this year and much deserved as Jack works very hard to create very unique images.  This one is entitled "The Swimmer" and can be seen below.

Puryear Photography

Hi there,  it's time to start thinking about family portraits for the Holidays...even though it is 100 degrees outside!  Jack and I are getting booked already for the late summer and early fall season, so call us soon.  This month we have a 1/2 price session for families and also in October, which is family portrait month.  You know in these times of a down economy nothing is worth more than your family and a quality portrait is an investment in your family.  Hope to see you soon...keep cool and be kind. 512-260-8400

We just did a photo shoot the other week with Jack's nephew Jordan who is a senior at Westwood high school and also a swimmer.  Jack shot Jordan on our high-key background and then added the other photos from a shoot he did in Venezuela about ten years ago.  The effect is very cool as you can see and turns the portrait into a work of art!

Puryear Photography

Hello everyone, this is our first entry on our new blog and we are excited to share with you all the wonderful things we are doing around here.  This is the first year that we have a children's secret garden just for kids to have their portraits taken, it is a really cute area that is enclosed with a wrought iron fence and has two distinct areas.  One is with a willow bench and is filled with plants that remind me of an English garden, the other side has a small wooden bridge with more tropical looking plants, sort of like the beach!  We have also built a stone bench that is really cool for the senior portraits as well as a funky turquoise bench.  Jack is also planning a rather large pond to go out front for family portraits, but that will have to wait until the weather cools off a bit.  So, as you can see we are busy around here and looking forward to the new group of 2009 seniors this summer and fall.  Check out our website at Jack@jackpuryear.com and give us a call!
